1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using SpeakCase, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.
2. Description of Service
SpeakCase is a voice-to-note documentation app designed for social workers and professionals. The app allows you to:
- Record voice memos and meetings
- Transcribe recordings into text notes
- Organise notes by cases
- Set reminders for follow-ups
- Export notes as PDF documents
3. User Accounts
To use SpeakCase, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use
4. Subscriptions and Payments
SpeakCase offers a free tier and paid Pro subscription:
- Free Tier: Limited features and recording time
- Pro Monthly: £9.99 per month
- Pro Yearly: £99.99 per year
Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. By subscribing, you agree to Apple's terms and conditions for In-App Purchases. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Record conversations without appropriate consent where required by law
- Upload or transmit malicious code or content
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
- Resell or redistribute the app or its features
6. Your Content
You retain ownership of all recordings, notes, and content you create using SpeakCase. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide our services to you.
7. Professional Responsibility
SpeakCase is a tool to assist with documentation. You remain responsible for:
- The accuracy and completeness of your case notes
- Compliance with your organisation's policies and procedures
- Compliance with relevant professional standards and regulations
- Obtaining appropriate consent for recordings
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
SpeakCase is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements. AI transcription may contain errors and should be reviewed for accuracy.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpeakCase shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
11. Termination
You may stop using SpeakCase at any time by deleting the app and cancelling any active subscription. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
