SpeakCase is fully compliant with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. We've built privacy into the foundation of our product.

• 256-bit AES encryption - Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit using bank-level security
• UK/EU servers only - All data stored on ISO 27001 certified servers in UK/EU regions
• Right to deletion - Delete your account and all data permanently at any time
• Data portability - Export all your notes in standard formats (PDF, TXT, JSON)
• No data selling - We never sell, share, or monetise your data. Ever.

We've designed SpeakCase so that we cannot read your notes or listen to your recordings. Here's what that means in practice:

• End-to-end encryption - Notes are encrypted on your device before upload
• No human review - Your recordings are processed automatically by AI, not reviewed by humans
• Automatic audio deletion - Audio files can be auto-deleted after transcription (your choice)
• Zero-knowledge architecture - We don't have the keys to decrypt your content

You always review and edit notes before copying to your case management system. The AI assists with structuring, but you remain in full control of the final content.

We understand that many social workers want to check with their LA before using any new tool. Here's what you need to know:

• Data protection ready - Our security measures meet or exceed LA data protection requirements
• No CMS integration required - Works alongside your existing systems via copy/paste - no IT integration needed

Many social workers use SpeakCase similarly to how they'd use Notes, Voice Memos, or other apps on their personal or work phone. If in doubt, check with your IT team.

Some worry that AI note-writing might deskill social workers. Here's our philosophy:
